Simple 1st Birthday Party Games and Activities
1st Birthday Party Games should not be complicated. Just a few simple and easy games will be enough for your little one.
Babies like to play and not be pulled and pushed around. Plan some fun activities, but be relaxed about it.
Go with the flow. If baby doesn't like a particular game, then scrap it and try another one.
Box Race
Use sturdy boxes for this fun first birthday game. Cut the top flaps off or fold down. Place a pillow in each box. Set babies in the boxes and let the parents push. Have a start and a finish line. To tweak this to match any party theme, just decorate the boxes.
Make train cars for train parties, cars for a Cars party, ect. You can also just decorate the sides with paint, stickers, or markers in your 1st birthday party theme.
Bean Bag Toss
1st birthday party games can be as simple as this. You really can't get much easier than a toss game. You can make the bean bags to match your party or just have little pillow squares. Homemade beanbags are really simple.
Just sew up little square pillows and fill with beans or rice. To add to your party theme you can make the beanbags into a shape like bugs, stars, crowns, cupcakes, ect. Then you need something that the babies can toss the beanbags into or on. You can
make a face with the mouth open, a bucket works great, or just have them toss onto a large poster board with different prizes painted on it. When they land on a certain painted prize, then they get that real prize.

Baby Can Do
People don't realize how much a baby can—and can't—do by the time her first birthday comes rolling around. Write a list of little things your baby can do, such as "Clap her hands," “Say Momma” and "Blow kisses." Add to the list some things she can't do yet: "Tie her shoe," "Say Elephant" and "Eat steak," for example. Let the parents guess which things the baby can do or can't do.
Baby Memory Book
Sometimes you just need a few activties and not a whole lot of first birthday party games for baby's birthday party. This is a perfect little activity for any first birthday. Purchase a good sized book that has empty pages. Let each guest write something to the baby. Take pictures of the guests and add to their page that they wrote. This is fun for the baby to read when he gets older.
