I want to arrange my own 50th birthday celebration in my garden and I need some 50th party ideas. Ideas for cake and deco. I have a large paved garden that I want to host it in. If it rains, I can always have it indoors.

Well, the sky really is the limit. First you need a theme, and then you can go off of that. Your cake, your decorations, your invitations, and your favors will all hinge on what your theme is.

Another way to do a 50th party, is to use the number "50" as your theme. Choose a color scheme and then add in the number "50". Then your cake could be a cake with a "50th topper" on it. Hang banners that have the number "50" on it and so on. There are some really cute party supplies for a 50th birthday party. Here's one that I found...

. Your colors could be black and white with all colored candles. Really cute.

Or just do a theme that you love and then add the 50th into that theme.

Don't know how to find a theme? Well, what do you love? I love coming up with themes for my friends and families. I really study what they love most of all and go off of that. Again, the sky is really the limit. Everyone's passion is going to be different. I love roses, so a rose garden party would be perfect for me. I've done purse parties, farm parties, rock star parties, fairy parties, fishing parties, golf parties, tea cup parties, and the latest family party was a "Spooky Pumpkin Party". Not something you hear of every day. Think about the colors and the things that you love and go for it. Think outside the box.

Your cake could go with your theme and add the 50th element into it.

There is no wrong or right way to do parties. It's a gathering of friends and family to celebrate life.
