About Us

I have been mainly a homemaker since I married at the young age of 18. I started my family a few years later and threw myself into taking care of my family.

Growing up, all I ever wanted to do was get married and have babies. I know it sounds lame, but hey, it really is true. I married young and started on my journey of being a good wife.

When I was 20 and oh so young, my first baby came along. She was so adorable and cute. How could I ever want anything else in my life.

I didn't have long to enjoy my little girl before my son made his entrance into the world. So at 22 I was a stay at home Mom with two babies. Both of them in diapers!

I threw myself into caring for my family. I loved every minute of it. As I cared lovingly for my family, I was also very active in our church. I had so much "free" time you know. Stay at home Moms get picked for all kinds of projects. I was thrown into planning sweet Valentine banquets, Christmas banquets (complete with silly skits), Christmas plays (oh the drama), Mother's Day Tea Parties, and even helped with church weddings, parties, and baby showers. Believe me, I had to learn fast!

I was always allowed to bring my little ones and my experience with throwing a fabulous event grew and grew. I was gaining all this knowledge, but how to make money from my knowledge and stay with my babies? That was the $64,000.00 question!

As my babies grew, I was always there for them. I refused to leave them with a babysitter and go to work. It wasn't easy, let me tell you. I had to sacrifice through the years just to fulfill this promise to myself.

I stayed true to that promise and wouldn't trade my years with my kids for anything. I was able to bring in a little bit of money baby sitting and decorating for events here and there. But something inside me cried out for more!

I studied everything I could get my hands on about decorating, home staging, card making, crafts, cakes, sewing, ect. Anything creative, I loved to do it. And helping out at church through the years had only made me realize that I loved to decorate and plan parties.

Everyone would say how talented I was. I gave gorgeous gifts, I had learned to decorate like a pro, I loved making homemade cards, designing sets for Christmas plays at church, but how was I to make any money doing these creative things that I loved and not leave my family to fend for themselves completely?

My sister introduced me to something that changed my life. A way to share all the things that I had learned with the world. Not just my church. Not just my family and friends, but the WORLD! I didn't even have to leave my house. I didn't have to tell my husband that he had to go get his own dinner. I was home to make it for him.

I could spend those precious years with my son before he headed off into the world like his sister already had.

How was I able to share my knowledge? How was I able to "decorate for parties" without leaving my living room?...through this website. It's a door into every home in the world. I have a whole network of visitors every day.

I got up every morning and wrote about my passion. Wrote about the things that I love to do. When I decorated, made a card, wrapped a gift, or decorated a cake, I got so excited because I knew that it would help so many others when I put it on my website. I had been so blessed and I dearly loved to help others. And the bonus was...As I helped others, I made money.

I was finally contributing a large part of the family income. I made my own money. I got checks every month with my name on them. I was a Mom, a wife, and a successful business woman all from the comfort of my own home (and half of the time in my pajamas).

Who knew I could build a successful website. I knew nothing...and I do mean nothing about the Internet. I didn't even know how to copy and paste (isn't that sad).
