Celtic Tea Party
Submitted By: Olivia Santacroce
I was thinking of a Celtic tea party for my sister who is turning 20.
What I would do is buy some fake vines (you can find them at the dollar tree or
something) and hang them up around. So instead of streamers you have vines like
in a little house. Cute, huh? And you can have Irish breakfast tea.
Here is a simple recipe for Irish potato cookies.
Irish Potato Cookie Recipe
- 1 lb butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups crushed potato chips
- powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 325 F. Cream butter and sugar together with a mixer. Add
flour and vanilla. Using your hands, blend in crushed potato chips. Place
heaping teaspoons of dough on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until a
light golden brown. Refrigerate the cookies but do not freeze. Dust with
powdered sugar just before serving. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
