Tips For Child Birthday Party Games
Decide On A Theme
This is always important. It helps you with the party decorating, party favors, cake idea, party location, and most of all the kid birthday party games. If you are doing a Princess party, then the games would need to revolve around the Princess theme.
Use Traditional Games
Feel free to use traditional party games, but twist them to fit your theme. "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" becomes "Pin The Crown On The Princess" at a Princess party. "Duck, Duck, Goose" becomes

Be Prepared With Lots Of Games
Have more games than you will actually play planned out. Sometimes a game is a big flop, and sometimes one game will carry you through the whole party. You just never know, so be prepared. All I can say is you know your child. This is supposed to be a happy day, so maybe just do the games for fun and then hand out the toys in their favor boxes at the end of the birthday party. Like I said,
this is your call. Alot of people like to have prizes for every game. If you do that, make sure everyone wins something.
Games Do Not Have To Cost A Fortune
You can make homemade party games if you want to be frugal. I made this "Pin-The-Tail-On-The-Horse" game with a few cheap supplies. I drew a horse on a piece of white poster board and embellished it with little scrapbook flowers, stickers, ribbon, and markers. Not only did the kids have a blast playing the game (we used ribbon for the pin on tail), Abby was able to hang this on her wall as a keepsake of her party. Try your hand at making your own thrifty kid party game.
