Diva 1st Birthday Party Invitation Ideas

Dress your little one in a hot pink onesie, sun glasses, and a feather boa. Take a picture.

Print out enough copies for all the invitations. Glue the picture onto card stock and embellish with glitter, rhinestones, and ribbon.

Or here's a cute homemade Diva invitation you can make...

Fold a piece of hot pink paper in half. From the folded side, cut in a curve to the other side. Do the same on the other side.

Now cut a piece out of animal print paper that fits the top of the paper. Glue it on the back and fold it over to look like the flap on a purse.

You can glue a piece of Velcro or a snap to hold the flap down. Cut out a handle and glue onto your purse. Place stickers on the front that say DIVA.

Write all of your party info inside the card.

Diva 1st Birthday Party Decorations and Centerpieces

First birthday party decorations are usually not as elaborate as an older child's party. But there are plenty of things you can do to make it special.

The colors for the Diva theme are hot pink animal print and purple. Start with the outside decor. Tie balloon onto the mailbox to alert everyone as to where the party is.

Make silver stars out of thick poster boards. Hot glue a garden stake onto the back and stick in yard. You can write Diva Party on the stars.

For a really easy Diva 1st birthday party centerpiece, purchase a cute purse gift bag. Group a Diva mylar balloon, hot pink balloon, and a purple balloon together. Tie onto a balloon weight and place in the purse. Place a pink boa in the bag and let it spill out onto the table. It's simple, yet cute.

Scatter rose petals and rhinestones on the table as well if the babies can't reach the table.

If you have some older kids you can have some games and activities set up for them.

Here are a just a few baby friendly games.

Baby Boa Limbo

Play limbo with a boa. Have lively music playing. The babies are will love this game and will want to play for hours. You can include the adults to make the babies laugh.

Baby Fashion Show

Place a trunk of fun dress up things. Boas, glasses, high heels. Let the little ones dress up. Be sure and take all kinds of pictures. You can print them out and put in frames for the guests to take home as a favor.

Piñata - Purse

This adorable Diva pink purse pinata will be the life of the party. Perfect for a Diva 1st birthday party. Fill with small stuffed toys. Pinatas are a great game, but they also double as part of the decor.

Diva 1st Birthday Party Cake Ideas

My favorite cake ideas for any 1st birthday is cupcakes! They are so simple and easy to serve.

Frost cupcakes in pink and purple. Place in a wire cupcake stand. This can also be your centerpiece.

Fancy Wire Cupcake Stand

If you want a regular cake, you can do a purse cake, or a star cake, or even a micro phone cake.

Just make a large sheet cake and carve out whatever shape you need. Frost in the right colors and you're done. Easy as pie...um...I mean cake.

Diva 1st Birthday Party Food and Drinks

• Strawberry and cream cheese sandwiches cut into star shapes
• Fruit kabobs (can cut fruit into star shapes)
• Star Jello jigglers
• Chocolate dipped strawberries
• Chocolate dipped marshmallows
• Star cookies
• Veggie tray
• Pink lemonade. Make fresh squeezed lemonade and put in blender with a few strawberries.
• Diva Fizzle. Just combine fruit juice and sparkling water.
• Pink punch (recipe below)

Pink Punch Recipe

2 unsweetened pink lemonade Kool Aid pkgs.
2 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) frozen pink lemonade
3 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. maraschino cherry syrup
2 1/2 qt. (10 c.) water
1/2 of 2-liter Sprite
Mix everything but the Sprite. Place in punch bowl and add Sprite slowly.

Lay a pink or purple boa loosely around the punch bowl. Scatter rose petals and rhinestones around the punch bowl as well.
