Fairy Party Ideas
This sweet theme can be used for a birthday party, sleepover, or just for fun.
Fairies are part of a magical world of make believe, but don't tell my daughter that. She swears they are real!
Of course they are real honey. Oh did I fail to mention she is almost 20! So feel free to use this theme for any age. We all like a little make believe in our lives.
This can also be a Tinkerbell Party with all the Tinkerbell Party Supplies. Not into Tink, then check out these darling Fairy Party Supplies. So cute. Any little (or big) girl will absolutely adore them.

Fairies, fairies, please come forth.
From the East, West, South, and North.
We're celebrating(your child's name)day.
So come at(time of party)and don't delay.
You may leave at(time party ends)o'clock.
All things must end, they have to stop.
So let us know if you'll be here.
Is that pixie dust in the air?
Fairy Party Costumes

Create flower halos for each girl. Cut flower garlands to size and secure them with wire.
Cover the wire with green floral tape. Make skirts out of tulle(a party decorator's best friend).
Measure your daughter's waist. Cut a piece of tulle twice as long. Sew a casing along one long side. Run elastic thru. Sew.
Hand sew ribbons hanging down from waist at different lengths. Purchase wings at the end of Halloween for nearly nothing.
Sprinkle each guest with pixie dust(silver glitter) and present them with a magic wand.
Have a table set up with coloring pages of fairies. This will occupy the girls until all have arrived.
Entrance Decor
Make your guests gasp from the moment they arrive with these fairy party decorations. Cut toadstools, flowers, butterflies, and fairies out of thick poster board. Color them and hot glue a garden stake on the back. Line the sidewalk with them. You can also just scatter them freely.
Have twinkle lights in trees and bushes. Scatter rose petals and glitter on sidewalk.
Float candles in bird bath.
Group 5 balloons with curling ribbon on the mailbox.
Hang flower garlands with twinkle lights around the door. Embellish with butterflies and tiny fairies. You can find all these supplies at your local craft store or online.
Decorations

Borrow or purchase fake trees and greenery. Place them everywhere with twinkle lights and butterflies. Sit fake potted flowers among the trees.
Hang greenery from the ceiling, creating a "forest".
Fairy colors are usually light and airy. Lavender and green. Or pink and green. Whatever colors you use, make sure you use them through out. Pansies are great if you go with the lavender. Roses are a great choice if you go with pink.
Pink or lavender tablecloths. Make tulle bows and hot glue flowers and ribbons on them. Hang on corners of the table and on the back of chairs.
Set plants and flowers at varying heights on the table. Place candles in fancy silver and crystal candle holders. Only light candles if girls are old enough.
Scatter rose petals on table.
Sit fairy figurines amongst all the greenery.
Hang ribbon and crystals from the chandelier. Wind flower garland down and around it. Attach butterflies.
Group balloons in 3's or 5's. Place them on table and in greenery. Make a balloon weight. Just fill balloon with about 1/4 cup sand. Tie off. Attach balloons.
Games
Fairy Freeze Tag
Play as you would regular freeze tag, but use wands to tag each other.
Pin the Butterfly on the Fairy
Hang a poster of a fairy. Draw an outline of a butterfly. Blindfold each girl and give her a butterfly with something sticky on the back. Twirl her around and let her place her butterfly where she chooses. The winner is the one who gets the closest to the outline.
Musical Toadstools
Place toadstools you have cut out of poster board on chairs. Play as you would regular musical chairs.
Leapfrog
Have girls split up into pairs. Do a relay race with the girls jumping over each other all the way to the finish.
Godmother Says
Play Simon Says, but replace "Simon" with "Godmother".
Fairy Whisper
Have girls sit in a circle. The first girl whispers something in the ear of the girl to her left. The next girl whispers the same thing to the next girl, and so on. The last girl says it out loud. It's rarely the same thing it started out as. This creates a lot of giggles.
Fanciful Fairies
Doll the girls up with face painting, fingernail polish, lip gloss, ect...
Pixie Bingo
This is a blast. You play it just like bingo. When the girls win they yell...Pixie Bingo!
