Fantastic Farm Cake
Oh my goodness! This farm cake was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved it and got a real kick out of it.
Although it looks hard, it was so simple and easy. Really any skill level could do this cake.
The flavor of the cake was homemade carrot and the frosting was homemade cream cheese. It was so yummy and moist. The "cow manure" was chocolate icing. No
one really wanted to eat that part. Ha ha!
Easy Farm Birthday Cake Instructions
- Bake a 9x13 cake in any flavor.
- Let cool and place on your cake board (I just covered a box lid with brown paper).
- Place the cake a little to the left of the middle.
- Ice the cake with white or cream frosting.
- Take a toy or metal (I used an antique replica) dozer and push up against the cake.
- Tint some frosting green and make a grassy area (use a fork for some texture).
- Place all of your plastic or metal farm animals and farm elements on and around the cake.
- I filled the water trough with blue icing.
- I anchored all the farm elements that weren't on the cake with green icing.
- Use chocolate icing for the cow manure.
- Dump the "cow manure" in front of the dozer and down the sides of the cake.
- Use a star tip and make cow patties behind the cows and here and there.
- Enjoy all the compliments because this cake is going to be a BIG hit!
