Duck, Duck, Goose
All the kids sit in a circle. One player is "it". They must go around the circle lightly tapping on each of the kid's heads and saying, duck..duck..duck. Until the player comes
to the one he wants to chase him. He then says "Goose". The player who is tagged "Goose" must chase the player who is "it" around the circle. The player who is "it" must sit in the empty set of the one who is chasing him. The player who doesn't reach the empty spot is now "it". Of course you can change this fun birthday party game to match any party theme.
You could say "Monkey, Monkey, Ape" for a Monkey Party, or "Strawberry, Strawberry, Shortcake" for a Strawberry Shortcake party.
Simon Says
You need to pick a "Simon". It can be a child or a parent. This game is usually played in a large space like a big room or outside. The players line up on one side of the room or yard and
Simon stands at the other end. Simon says things like..."Simon says take 3 little baby steps." The kids do what Simon says. If Simon does not say Simon Says before the command, and the player does the command, then that player is out. Keep
playing until you have a winner.

Musical Chairs
Of course fun birthday party games like this one can be tweaked to fit any theme, just like any of the other parties listed. The original musical chairs is played with chairs, but you can change
the chairs to lily pads, thrones, ect. Count the players and out one less chair than your players in a circle. Start the music and have the kids walk around the chairs. When the music stops, the kids must find an empty chair.
The player who doesn't find a chair is out. Now you take one chair away and play again. The last player that is left, wins.
Pass The Parcel
Wrap a gift with many layers of wrapping paper and tape. The older the kids, the more you can put on. Everyone sits in a circle. Start some party music. The kids must
pass the parcel around the circle. When the music stops, the child that is holding the gift must start to unwrap it. When the music starts the package must be passed again. The player that can get the present all the way unwrapped is the winner.
