Darling Hat Cake
How cute is this Hat Cake. It's really easy to make. You can do so many things with it. It's a unique cake for a
Tea party,
Bridal Shower,
Garden Party, or any girly party.
How big you want you hat and what shape will determine what pans you will cook the cakes in. You'll need a flat cake and a round cake.
The round cake can be baked in a bowl.
You can also use a 9 inch pan and a 8 inch pan. Cut the 8 inch cake down to 6 inches after it's done cooking.
Easy Hat Birthday Cake Instructions
- Bake your two cakes(amy flavor)
- Let them cool
- Cover thick cardboard with white paper or foil
- Place biggest cake on board
- Spread some frosting on the biggest flat cake
- Lay the round cake on top(if you use a bowl, you might have to trim it so it will lay flat)
- Frost the whole cake
- Tie a real ribbon around the hat band, or use fruit roll up for kid's party
- Layer on flowers and leaves(real or silk)
- Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
