Parties can be really expensive, so how about trying this homemade fingerpaint recipe for your next party craft idea.

It's a really thrifty party idea. Great for girls and boys alike.

Lay out a large piece of white paper and give the kids aprons. This is a fun activity to do outside. That way you don't have to worry about the furniture!

Fingerpaint Recipe

  • 1/2 cup of corn starch
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups of cold water
  • Food coloring

Mix in a medium pan. Cook over low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep stirring until the paint is smooth and thick. After it is thickened, take off of stove and let it cool completely. Divide into storage containers. Add a few drops of food coloring. Keep the paint covered tightly.
