Leopard Wedding Decor~

Question...I am anticipating utilizing leopard and auburgine (deep purple) for my wedding. Since leopard is such a "stand-out print" (as well as my fiance's favorite) , I would like to incorporate leopard in the decorations, cake, favors and attire.

We are middle aged, but want something with a different flair (why-not) been there done that before :) . We want classy yet, but are willing to do something not so traditional.

Can you give suggestions for the bridal shower and wedding? I'm not interested in utilizing the leopard animal in any way, just his skin.

First of all, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! It sounds as if you have a flair for the unusual and your wedding will be a blast.

Leopard print is a fun choice for a wedding, but I would keep it in small amounts. When I decorate for clients and they want animal print in the room, I usually pick out just one WOW piece.

Bring in another color to complement the dark purple (like silver or gold). Then just use the leopard print sparingly. Maybe just the ribbon on the favors. Or just a sash for the attire. Or maybe just have a leopard print ribbon in the girl's bouquets.

Your cake could have a band of leopard print ribbon and dark purple and silver or gold flowers.

Just keep the leopard print to a minimum and you'll be okay.
