Monica's Fabulous Tea Birthday Party

Oh my goodness, what fun we had at Monnie's Tea Birthday Party. About 13 ladies (ahem... and one gentleman) gathered in Little Rock to celebrate a fabulously fun birthday.

We were instructed to wear hats. Oh the flurry trying to find just the right one. Some hats were vintage and some were new. They all were really cute.

The night before the party I washed my yellow vintage hat. It was really wet, so I put it in the dryer. Ummm...Big mistake. It shriveled. Ruined! Oh no. It turned out okay though. I just wore another one I had.

Monnie's daughter had purchased this party at an auction. It was a benefit for the zoo. How cool is that!

We all arrived from various places. Smiling and ready to have some fun. Someone had thought up the idea to exchange tea cups at this fun tea birthday party. Well, some of us did not bring cups.

What to do? Sarah to the rescue. She had brought cups from the little store she works at. She was selling them out of the van. We all got a real kick out of that.

As we came in the door Monnie received a boa and a birthday pin.

We ate such wonderful food. Then it was time for the birthday cake. Yummy! Then tea was brought out.

After tea we sat back and talked and laughed. Silly women...ahem...and man. I played the piano and we sang a few old church songs. Just like in the old days. We entertained ourselves.

Then it was time for the tea cup exchange. All the ladies were pleased with their tea cup and felt like the party was such a success.
