Morgan's Tinkerbell Birthday Party
Who says that a 19 year old girl can't have a Tinkerbell Birthday Party. Fun is not limited to an age. Life is about
having fun, enjoying your family and friends, and making life a little better for one another.
We had a little bit of a hard time coming up with a theme for a 19 year old. Morgan is into black and skulls, so we thought about doing that, but we had done that for her 18th birthday. Black and white with red accents. It was elegant and rockstar all in one. It turned out great. Oh yeh...we're getting off subject.
I took Morgan to the store to help pick her theme and after searching and searching, she couldn't resist the absolutely adorable
Tinker Bell Fairies Party Supplies
. Her favorite color is green and Tinkerbell party supplies are green and purple.
So we load up on Tinkerbell stuff and head out. I took it from there.

Not being the type to use only the party supplies, I headed to the flower shop, dollar store, and my own stash of goodies to really doll this party table up. I made a large flower arrangement in purple flowers. I did use the Tinkerbell centerpiece that comes with the supplies, but I added candles and green rocks to give it some extra pizzazz.

I placed a silver candelabra on the table as well as fairy wings, tiara, and wand. (Morgan insisted on wearing them when she saw them) Tinkerbell tablecloth was the perfect backdrop for all the table elements. This shows what you can do with the traditional party supplies and your own special touch. It brings in the theme, but jumps it up a few notches.

Even the presents were wrapped in Tinkerbell wrapping paper. So cute! Of course we had to do the green bow as green is Morgan's favorite color.

The food was just flower shaped sandwiches and chips. I cut them out with a flower cookie cutter. We had strawberry jam with cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and ham and cheese. We kept it pretty simple. It was so hot outside, we really didn't want to eat much.

Here's Morgan opening her presents. She is such a ham. She loves the camera and the camera loves her. She really is our little fairy.

Instead of cake, Morgan wanted an ice cream sundae bar. It was such fun. Really messy, but fun. Everyone made their own sundae just the way they liked it. What a great idea for such a hot summer day. Don't be afraid to be different. You don't always have to have cake or cupcakes. Try the sundae bar for a change. Morgan made her wish and then dug in. I wonder if she wished her wings were real. She lives in a little bit of a dream world.

We had several games, but the biggest hit of all was Pixie bingo. We found it with the Tinkerbell supplies.

It got too hot outside so we came in to eat our ice cream and play Pixie bingo. Even the Grandma's and great Grandma's were having a blast. It was the highlight of the whole night. We played and played and played!
Happy Birthday Morgan!
